In 2011 the Smiths Triumph Racing Team took the team partnered by the Company in 2010 to compete all over the UK at iconic race venues with names that include Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Knockhill, Donnington, and of course Silverstone, which is also the home of the FIA Formula 1 Grand Prix. 

The three bike team of 2011 has expanded in 2012 into a team of 4 Triumph Daytona motorcycles and four riders, with a handsome line-up of two English and two Australian riders all hungry for success and Championship victories.

The riders are young Englishmen Luke Mossey and Johnny Blackshaw, and Australians Billy McConnell and Glen Richards, Glen is also the reigning British Champion in the British Superbikes Evolution Class. 

Smiths (Gloucester) Limited was started in 1982 by Alan Smith. Smiths is a family run business and provides services in construction, waste management and recycling, demolition, transport, skip hire, laser levelling, asbestos removal and plant hire. It has grown from a small, owner-operated construction firm to one of the region's largest and most respected construction services and waste management companies.

Alan Smith developed his love of bikes and racing in the 1980s when he competed in local and national amateur motocross events, his highest achievement being several top three positions in the national four stroke and superclass categories.

The Smiths (Gloucester) Racing Team continues the family ethos with daughter Rebecca adopting the mantle of Team Manager and wife Anne, son Paul and daughters Helen and Lisa often seen supporting the team on race days.
